World IPv6 Launch turns IPv6 on for good June 6th

With World IPv6 Day last June, all tests seemed to come up with a green light. For June 2012, the Internet Society is ready to flip the switch on for good. June 6th, 2012 will be World IPv6 Launch and a bunch of partners are already on board.

Akamai, Comcast, Free Telecom, KDDI, Time Warner Cable, AT&T, D-Link, Google, Limelight, XS4ALL, CISCO, Facebook, Internode, Microsoft Bing, and Yahoo! are all on board and the Internet Society is looking for even more to join along in the next few months.

The Internet Society announced the event with a posting to their website. Google drummed up more people with a blog posting of their own.
