Discovery shuttle takes final flight to Smithsonian

The oldest space shuttle, Discovery, is being put out to pasture at the Smithsonian museum. Its final flight has left Kennedy Space Center, pictured below, and the shuttle will do a flyover of many landmarks in the Washington D.C. area on its way to the National Air and Space Museum. You can watch the flight live onĀ nasa.gov.

You can view other pictures of the shuttle along its way with many landmarks in the background thanks to folks from Twitter posting their #SpotTheShuttle pics.
