Bridgestone introduces air-free tire concept

At the Tokyo Auto Show, Bridgestone introduced a new concept tire that doesn’t need to be pumped with air. It’s a non-pneumatic tire that uses load-bearing spokes to make the tire maintenance-saving and worry-free.

Bridgestone’s concept tire is also environementally-friendly. It uses 100% recyclable materials for everything from the thermoplastic resin for the spokes and the rubber of the tire tread. The company has a policy of “tire to tire” meaning the old tires can be recycled to form new ones.
